Day 7: I am Thankful for Texting
I hate talking on the phone. In high school it was actually a phobia. I would break out into a sweat whenever I had to call someone and would really have to give myself a big pep talk. I'd even pay my siblings money to make phone calls for me. They got smart and started charging me ridiculous amounts per call but I still dished it out. When I moved away from home it was a concern of my family if I'd talk to them but I did and the phobia has went away and is just now a huge dislike. With that said, I am so thankful for texting. It has made my life so much easier. It was a lifesaver when I was YW's president and had to remind all the girls or leaders of various things. I don't think I could have done my calling if it wasn't for texting. My mom even recently hopped on the bandwagon and got texting last week. Even though I love texting it is very impersonal and I understand that. Nothing compares to face to face, or voice to voice contact.

I'm the same - I much prefer sending an email over calling people. And I'm a little better at keeping touch with family since I can comment on their blogs. :) I never call my sisters, I don't know why. Neil is good at calling huh, with no reason besides "just because"
