Day 11: I am Thankful to have no Debt

When Neil and I got married, we both worked for two years before having kids. During that time we paid off our student loans and car loans and have been debt free (except for our house) ever since. I can't tell you how much peace of mind that brings to me. I am thankful for Neil's job as I mentioned yesterday, but I never know when that may end and if it does I know we'll be okay. We have savings and after that is exhausted we may have to sell our house and move into an apartment or in with family but that's okay. Having no debt, I realize that we are able to live off very little. It is our goal to pay our house off in seven years and then we'll be totally debt free. That seven years is looking more like ten but it's better than fifteen or thirty.
