On Sunday Conner came home from church and said he was making a goal to read a chapter from the Book of Mormon everyday no matter how long it was so he immediately read his chapter Sunday before lunch. Monday we were really busy all day and so he wasn't able to read until bedtime which meant he'd have to use his 10 (usually ends up being 20-30) minutes of reading to read the Book of Mormon and he was okay with that. This morning he got in bed with me and told me that the first thing he did when he woke up was read his scriptures.
Of course his brothers have heard him talking about his goal so they have to join in so this morning Sam comes into my room with his cleats on and says his goal is to exercise everyday and if I could help him put the treadmill down.
I think it's funny that they've chosen the same goals I have. They really do watch and listen and follow our examples. I try really hard to get up early and exercise and read my scriptures before the kids get up but I've stopped setting my alarm clock because I need my sleep so I usually end up exercising when they're up.
