Easter

I had so much fun with all our Easter traditions this year.
The first day we made little bird's nests with Peep chicks in them.
The kids being crazy.
I just love this picture of the kids with little Lucy's head there. I didn't know she was there until after I had taken the picture.
Some of the monster eggs up close.
Dying those eggs with all those little kids was challenging so to make it easier on myself and my nerves when it came to the bunny cakes I let the older kids make theirs while the little ones too their nap. Every year my mom would make a bunny cake and I've kept the tradition alive but instead of making a big one I let each of the kids make their own minature one. The older kids bunny cakes.
Mikey and Presley got to make theirs once they woke up from their naps.
Presley eating her bunny cake. Too bad this is how she eats everything. Just kidding, well just a little bit.
This year I decided to take the kids to a city Easter egg hunt. We went to the one in Clearfield. There were over 10,000 eggs scattered over 3 baseball fields. Each field was for a different age group. There were so many kids there. We all counted down and when the horn blew they were off.
The boys in action. I think they each got about 11 eggs. It was all over in 55 seconds.
After the city egg hunt we headed down to Salt Lake for the annual Hibbert Family egg hunt. This year we did it at a park. We had a picnic and then it was off to find your eggs. It was really cold that day. Neil, Steph and Grant hid all the eggs and they were pretty ruthless with the older kids eggs. This is such a fun tradition that my kids always look forward to and I'm so glad Linda still decided to do it even with the wedding right around the corner.
Lucy finding her eggs. She loved carrying around her basket and filling it with eggs.
My kids enjoying the spoils.
This is a tradition of Ashton's to stick all the labels on his face.
Lucy in her Easter Bunny dress eating candy.
Allison brought over and hid more eggs. This was our kids third egg hunt. You can never have enough candy. Presley found a chocolate bunny.

Nana sent us all marshmallow shooters that we got out after Easter dinner.
Seriously who had more fun the boys or the dads. They made shields to hide behind to block the shots from the opposing team.
