Lucy is 2!

Today was Lucy's birthday. Where does the time go? Last Sunday we all cuddled in our bed and hooked the computer up to the projector and had a slide show of the kids through the years. As we were looking at the pictures and videos of Conner and Sam when they were little I realized I just don't remember them being so little. Thank goodness I have pictures to prove it but I really don't remember it in my mind. It's too bad. I can remember where any little random thing is in our house (except for my keys) but when I try to remember them as babies my mind goes blank. Even Lucy I can hardly remember her 2 years ago. Seeing pictures does jog my memory so I am thankful for these digital cameras because we take a ton of pictures.

I don't know who was more excited for today, Lucy or the boys. I was sound asleep this morning and I wake up to Mikey's face right in mine yelling at me that it was Lucy's birthday. We started the morning off with waffle sticks and syrup and then Lucy got to take an extra long and extra bubbly bubble bath.
Here's Lucy trying to hold up her two fingers. She was so happy with that balloon and played with it all morning.

Here's my big two year old all ready for church and she till has that balloon.

Looked how intrigued the boys are over her new toy.

I think the hit of the night was Lucy's new cookware and plateware from the Hibberts. She did not want to share anything.

Here's the dress up. The hem looks awful but when she's six it will be perfect.

I piled the frosting on top of Lucy's cupcake. She wasn't so sure about everyone singing to her but she knew to blow out the candles.

Lucy really only likes frosting and doesn't eat the cake so I decided instead of stressing about a cute cake we'll just do cupcakes .

Disclaimer: we already had this Mr. Potato head but we had put it away with a bunch of toys the kids didn't play with much but Lucy loves the one we kept out so we just wrapped this one up and she loves it.

After cupcakes we had a family pillow fight and Lucy definitely fends for herself. She doesn't take much from anyone. Here she is tackling Mikey.

Our birthday girl all ready for bed. It was so fun to get all the girly stuff today. Even the boys wanted to play with her new stuff. It's nice for a change. We sure love our Lucy but the terrible two year old attitude is definitely starting to come out. She is taking after Mikey and is starting to yell like he does. We've got to nip that one in the bud. She is so sweet otherwise though and loves to play with her brothers.
