Monday, Monday, Monday

It snowed from the time I got up until after naps at 3:30. We had 6 inches in our driveway and guess who got to shovel up. Me, me and only me. It took an hour. I had shoveled part of it at 10:30am because my visiting teachers were coming over but by the time I had finished it was covered again so instead of walking in 2 inches of snow they only had to walk in one. I don't mind shoveling at all but the hard part is the boys are left alone so the first time I came in to check on them Mikey had 5 marbles in his mouth. He loves marbles and has a marble radar. I thought I had picked them all up. Maybe his brothers gave them to him. When he saw me coming after him he spit them all out. He knows. The next time I came in I found our beautiful glass nativity set Connie gave me on the ground and Mary was broken. I was so sad. Hopefully super glue will do the trick.

All month long we've been focusing on Christ and his birth so tonight Neil did the lesson and had pictures from Christ's life. The last one was a picture of Jesus being baptized. Neil asked the boys what color Jesus wore to get baptized. White like the snow. A stretch but then Neil had us all make snowflakes for the activity and then we had gingerbread boys for treats.
The big excitement for the day is I found Sammy some Thomas trains, 31 spanking new ones to be exact and all different. There's over 50 cars in the actual collection, who knew. I am about to explode. The guy wanted $100 for them all and I told him I didn't have that kind of money but if I could pick out 15 for $50 and he agreed. When Neil showed up the guy offered him all 31 for $60. That is less than $2 a car. For you non-Thomas fans the cars range from $12 to $25 and these are new. I am about to explode. I'm probably more excited than Sammy will be. We're going to give a couple to Conner and some to Sam and then save the rest for Sammy's birthday in April. I love KSL. If only I could find a train table with bins for cheap for his birthday I'd be set.
