The house is pretty much cleaned, dishes done, laundry done, dinner done and I have no pressing projects that need immediate attention. I don't know what to do with myself. I have been on a dead run for over a month with always something to do. I am so excited so I thought while the boys are sleeping I should update my blog. I have yet to post about Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving was wonderful. We had Neil's parents, Gma Bahr, Beka, Wrides, Allison and Grant and Steph came up for dessert. There were 20 people in all. I started the Monday before making all the rolls and freezing them, not as good as hot out of the oven but it was one less thing to put in the oven on Thanksgiving day. I ended up making 150 because the boys and I are so many as they came out of the oven. Tuesday I started on the desserts. I made the cookies and everything that could be frozen. Wednesday I cleaned the house and made the pies and did all the prep for the big day. We ended up having turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potato souffle, roasted veges, corn, two dressings, fruit salad, jello jigglers, bean salad, cranberry sauce, rolls and punch. Everything was so good except my dressing. I cooked it in the crockpot this year because I needed the oven and it was soggy, I guess I should have expected it from a crockpot. Luckily I'm not a big dressing person so it didn't ruin my day. We ate our feast at 1 and then had dessert at 4. I made the tradtitional pumpkin pie, pecan pie (Neil's favorite), sour cream apple pie, chocolate pie, pilgrim hat sugar cookies, rolo cookies, white chocolate mousse in belgian chocolate cups, mini carrot cakes, cinnabun cheesecake and ice cream with all the toppings. I was in heaven. I was so sad when Monday came and all the leftovers were gone. My favorite thing was taking a roll and slathering it with gravy and adding turkey and warming up. So good, so good. Beka brought a game called Discombobulation that was fun and then Neil and Grant played a game of Twixt that took way too long for Neil to end up losing. I am already planning next year and what new things I'll try.

Sam was so tuckered out after playing with his cousins all day and getting no nap
My sister, Allison spent 5 days with us and one of the things the boys loved was eating ice cream with Aunt Deet Deet.

Mikey turned one on November 25th and we celebrated on Thanksgiving. I didn't get any pictures of him blowing out his candle. I love this little guy so much. He just such a good natured little guy. He still seems so little still. I guess it's because he's not walking so he still seems like a little baby.

Playing with his new toy

Didn't make a very big mess while eating his cake.
I had to get up and go shopping the day after Thanksgiving and I was at the store at 3:50 am. I stayed out until about 10:30 and I only had a year supply of play-doh, hair clippers and fabric to show for it. I just love being in the crowds and the frenzy and watching people just throw whatever in their carts. It's crazy. When I got home Neil had already put up the tree and all our Christmas decorations which isn't much but it made me so happy. I love all the lights. I'm not much of a decorator so that job falls on Neil.
I spent the next couple days making 5 elf costumes and a Mrs. Claus costume for Allison to use in their Christmas parade for Weiser. They needed to be mailed on Monday but I didn't finish them until 2am Tuesday so I went to the post office at 2 am and used the self serve kiosk and sent them 2 day priority so she should have gotten them Thursday but of course she didn't and the parade was Friday @ 6pm. I was so nervous mailing them thinking someone was going to come and kidnap me or something I just knew I did something wrong and sent them to the wrong place but she did get them on Friday just in time for the parade where they won 1st place.
