Hibbert Family Christmas Party

On Friday we had a Hibbert Family Christmas Party at the Smarts. We had a lot of fun. Jared and Jerusha provided the dinner and boy was it good as always. Still stuffed. After we ate, they had arranged to have Santa drop by giving all the kids santa pez dispensers. Too bad my kids still don't know too much about Santa. They were more excited about the Pez but the other kids were so surprised.

Some of the adults played a little Wii, even Linda, and on her first time ever playing the bowling she got a strike. I rarely saw my kids the whole night. Sam was in heaven playing with all the Thomas cars and tracks. It must be the cars because we have tons of tracks but only Thomas and his coaches and then a bunch of generic trains but the Smarts have Percy and Henry and James, etc., the real deal. I have been frantically looking on KSL and craigslist for some for cheap for Christmas.
Conner played all night on a leapster. He is so in to video games and anything electronic. We ended up not leaving until 11pm because everyone was having such a great time. The boys were troopers especially Mikey. He never even cried even though his bedtime is 7pm.
The adults played a round of Apples to Apples, not one of my favorites, probably because I never win or rarely get a card for that matter but it was still fun anyway. We were rolling at times from laughing so hard.
These are the cookies I made. So cute before I baked them. Little did I know . . .

they would balloon up into big fat reindeer. I've been wanting to make them for 8 years ever since I saw them in a magazine and when I finally make them they look like they've been on prednizone for awhile. Oh well, now I know. Bedsides, for kids the bigger the better.

Here are the boys as we pull out of the Smart's driveway. Completely pooped.

Ha ha ha! I love the cookies, before and after! so funny. I love the sleepy shot in the car too, it's so nice to have sleeping children in the car!
