The Time of Our Lives
Yesterday we went up to Jerusha's and Jared's to get our pictures taken. Jared has a really fancy camera and was nice enough to take a family picture for our Christmas cards. We got some pretty cute pictures. I am dying to get the CD, but Neil wouldn't wait last night because we wanted to see the lights at Temple Square. I'll just have to wait until Saturday. After the pictures we went to their house for dinner and Jared had made some soup from his mission so it was Spanish/Mexican soup. So good. I made myself sick eating 4 bowls. Jerusha had fried up some flour tortillas to go on top. Really so good. I told Jared he could serve it in a restaurant. Luckily I got to take some home and savor the taste again at lunch. I do have a problem eating at times. When I find something I really like I just can't stop because I feel like I'll never be able to eat it again so I eat and I eat and I eat. I just can't stop. Well that's what happened last night. Anyway, once again really good. I just love Mexican. I could eat it every day of the week. My boys had such a fun time playing with the huge Thomas tracks and all the trains they had. After the Smarts we went to Temple Square and Conner loves elevators so Neil took us to the COB where there are 28 floors and let Conner ride the elevators. Boy was Conner one giddy little boy. He was in heaven, one with the elevator itself and then two because there were so many NUMBERS to choose from, his two great loves. We wanted to see the lights because there is a whole section of orange trees and when we were looking at Christmas lights Conner was a little sad because he never saw any orange lights and orange is his favorite color. Sometimes we'll pick Neil up from the frontrunner station and Sammy goes crazy because he thinks it's a train and always wants to ride it so we thought it would be fun for Neil to take the boys and ride it home. We didn't get to see too many lights because we would have missed the "train". We barely made it in time but they did and the boys rode on the upper deck. Sam now was in heaven. I picked them up at the station and we got home and all got to bed around 9:30. What a fun day! We are hoping to go see the lights Saturday after Melody's baptism.
