Festival of Trees
This was my first year going to Festival of Trees so I was not sure what to expect and boy was I blown away at all the trees and gingerbread houses. They were out of this world. There were probably a hundred trees or more that were decorated and donated by different people and businesses to help Primary Children's Hospital. Each tree had a theme, one was cowboys, another BYU, a dollhouse, etc. Not one tree was alike. Being as I don't have the knack for decorating I was just amazed. We met up with the Wride's for awhile. Too bad I didn't get to really see them all and gawk and take pictures like I would have liked because Conner saw this "Kinetic Christmas Tree" and was mezmerized and wouldn't leave it. I know in his little head he was trying to figure out how it worked. Several times he would try to sneak under the rope to get a better look and to probably touch it. It was a wooden tree that was carved kind of like the mouse trap game is how I would describe it. Conner must have stood there for an hour really. Being the bad parent, I left him there to go get a scone for 10 minutes knowing he would not leave and he didn't. We would persuade him to come look at other things but after about 10 minutes he wanted to go back so Neil and I took shifts staying with him. I wish I could have known what it sold for, not like we could afford it.

Here I'm sure he's telling that man how the tree works.
They had Santa there and the Wrides saved us a place in line. The boys were more interested in their candy canes than Santa. Conner told Santa he wanted Play-doh for Christmas (phew, I've got that covered) and Sam said Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, whatever he means by that.
