We had Hawaiian Haystacks for dinner and Neil said it's one of those meals I need to put in every two weeks. We really like this recipe but I omit the onions and use the pineapple in place of the chicken broth since we like ours fruity.
Once again our stake president took a few minutes to at the end of sacrament meeting to urge us all get rid of the distractions in our lives and to turn off our phones, computer, tablets, radio etc. and connect with each other and the Lord. I am feeling pretty good still with my resolutions. I am doing so much better with the distractions and find myself reading more. I'm reading 3 books right now: The Power of Everyday Missionares, Taking Charge of Your Fertility and The Child Whisperer. I am loving each one and wish I had more time to read. I am also doing good with my no yelling and have yet to dish out any money. The Child Whisperer book has helped me a lot learn better how to parent each of my children according to their nature and thus have less contention. It's a really good read. I read a lot of parenting books and always end up taking a little something away from each one in my desire to be the best parent I can be.
