Praised My Name
During our family business last night, Neil brought it to every one's attention that I had kept up with the laundry for the last two weeks and that I needed a round of applause. It was so funny to hear all the hooping and hollering. I am so glad that he noticed that he never ran out of white shirts or garments and the boys never ran out of socks. These happen quite often here and it's not pretty when it does. It was not one of my resolutions to keep up with laundry this year because it was in 2013 and I failed miserably so instead it's been a subconscious resolution and so far I have succeeded at doing one or two loads a day. The acknowledgement of the small things I do each day to serve my family motivates me to do it even more. We all need validation. I'll probably do good until October comes around again. That's my down fall. I just got around to washing the Halloween costumes yesterday and putting them away. I still have to clean my room from Halloween. I know it is so sad, 3 months later, and I still have a mess from Halloween. It stinks that my bedroom is not a bedroom but rather a sewing, craft and study room. Neil has been very patient especially since my sewing stuff is on his side of the bed. I am determined to have it clean by the end of the week. There's a couple projects I want to start on but haven't because of the mess. One day I will get on top of it.
