Slumber Party

The kids have been begging for years to have a slumber party with their cousins and being as they had not seen each other for about a month, we finally gave in.  Our stake president several years ago when we lived in Heber, strongly encouraged parents to not allow our kids to go to sleepovers, even with cousins.  It is so sad that times are the way they are but that was the counsel given to us and we've heeded it.  I must say nothing ever good ever happened at the slumber parties I went to as a kid.  We'd stay up late and play pranks on each other, play spooky games like light as a feather, stiff as a board and get in fights.  So I get it.  Well Lucy and Presley ended up sleeping in Mikey and Lucy's room.  Jaxson ended up sleeping with Deet and my boys ended up sleeping in the family room.  They might as well slept in their own beds but oh well.  They thought it was great.  They had a great time together and long over due.  Deet put makeup on the girls and they loved it!

What Beauties.

Alli and I went to the temple together on Saturday.  I think this is the first time we've ever went together other than when Ryan went for the first time.  It was nice to go with someone.  I often go by myself.  There are two new temple movies out which are pretty amazing.  After the temple we went out to lunch at Texas Roadhouse and Alli treated.  I ate myself sick in rolls.  I just can't help myself.  I love having my sister close.  My only wish is that Kel Wel was closer too and Ryan.  I love being with my family.  They are some of the only people who you can truly relax and be who or whatever you want without judgement.  And they are the ones that make me laugh the hardest.  Family is the best.  I hope I'm instilling this love in my own kids.
