Soccer is Over!!!!!

I wish I was a good soccer mom but I'm not.  I take the boys to practice and get them to their games but do I love it.  Not at all.  I think part of it is is since Neil coaches I'm stuck with 3 kids who won't sit still and end up fighting and running off and then whining when they don't get a treat like the players.  If I could just sit and watch the game I'd enjoy it more.  Conner really likes playing and has gotten to be a pretty good defender.  He always begs to play that position.  I think next year they start playing goalie and he really wants to do that.  Sam was all about having fun and not too much into the game.  So many times Neil would come off the field fuming because all Sam did was goof around and he'd have to try to discipline him in front of everyone.  Everyone needs a little comic relief I guess.

When Mikey and Lucy were having a good day I'd kick the ball around with them to keep them happy during the games.  Mikey gets to play next year and I am so excited to see him play.  He's ready.  He loves to run and after seeing his brothers play the last 3 years he's got a pretty good idea of how to play.
Conner's coach got pizza for the kids after their last game.  Conner ate 6 pieces himself and I told him he had to stop and save some for the others.  For being so skinny that kid can sure put it down.

One last hurrah for the Blue Dragons!
To end the season for Sam's team we met at a park and played a soccer game with all the kids who were there against the parents.  We eventually had 3 balls going at once so it got confusing but was a lot of fun.  We gave out trophies and had cupcakes and ice cream.  It was a fun way to end the season.  I think everyone is glad to have their Saturdays back.

We decided not to do baseball this year because it was going to be every night for an hour and half and the boys aren't that into it.  We don't have much family time as it is during the week so we decided to protect what little time we have.  If one of the boys showed some talent in baseball I would change my mind.  We've been outside almost every day hitting the ball and practicing throwing so maybe next year they will be better.  I think Mikey will be our little athletic one because he just wants to play any sport but does get frustrated when he doesn't perform well.  He's got such a little temper.
