A Very Merry Christmas

I really love Christmas time.  Everyone is just a little kinder,  more thoughtful and more helpful.  We didn't do all the things we usually do but we tried to do those that were most important to us.  I do feel a little bad we never sent out Christmas cards this year.  We just never got a family picture taken so this was the best one we came up with.
Neil and I stayed up until about midnight and I told the kids no one can come out of their rooms until 7 but as soon as their clocks hit 7 they were in our room ready to go.
We had to put the barricade up so there was no peeking.

A Christmas Miracle.  Conner got all the yellow and red Mixels from series 1.
Eliza was not interested in any presents so I am saving them for her birthday.  All she cared about was the candy and would try to steal stuff from every one's stockings.
Mikey was so happy with his Kendama and we all had fun playing with it.
For breakfast we had a sausage and egg casserole, a french toast and berry casserole, cinnamon rolls and orange julius.

Lucy got a cheerleading outfit and poms poms but I think she was even more excited about the makeup.  What was I thinking?  She put it all over her face and she looked like a pastel Rambo.
The boys were so excited to get Smash Brothers Brawl for the wii and spend most of the night playing it.
So the holidays have ruined this little girl.  She will no longer eat real food.  She scoffs if you try to feed her something healthy.  If it is not 90% sugar it will not touch her lips.  She will scream and turn her head if it is not a sweet.  We sure enjoyed all the goodies our friends and neighbors gave us but maybe a little too much.  Eliza will pull the stool over and just point at the goodies until someone gives in.  We are all going to have to break that habit with the new year.

I think one of the things that made Christmas this year was that it actually snowed.  It has been a warm December with only snow one day this month but when we woke up Christmas morning everything was covered in white.  A white Christmas was icing on the day!
