Keeper of the Toilet
The toilet in the master bathroom runs sometimes and we're waiting to get it fixed so we just listen and watch it. If it doesn't stop running we just turn the water off. The lid on the tank has been off forever so Conner, being the little investigator he is, likes to watch when it flushes. A couple days ago he saw Neil turn the water off and asked what he was doing. Neil explained how the toilet runs and that if we don't catch it then the toilet tank can overflow and flood the bathroom and and since there is a little crack in the ceiling in the kitchen it could trickle down into the kitchen. Too much info so now Conner thinks the toilet is going to leak and flood the whole house. He has become obsessed with our toilet. He tells Sam all day long not to use it and guards the door. He makes sure Neil and I don't use it unless he is there to make sure the water gets turned off. He came out of bed at 9:30 in a panic last night when he heard it flush. If you've ever seen Conner get on an elevator and Sammy not (total caniption fit) this is worse. You can just see the worry and concern in his little face. He'll yell and scream and cry to turn the water off. He's really just looking after our well being which is sweet. Same thing with the elevator he just panics if someone doesn't get on because he's scared they are going to get left. Our sweet little sensitive Conner. One thing that's funny is he'll draw a picture of the inside of the toilet tank and he'll explain what's happening and then pretend it's over flowing and acts it out. Makes me laugh.
