I'm So Big, I'm Five
I have prided myself that in the 4 weeks that Conner has been in school I have not been late dropping or picking him up but today the streak ended. He had to go to the bathroom right when it was time to leave and it took awhile so we got to the school when the last bell rang. There was no where to park close to the doors which stunk because I had Leila this morning and she had fallen asleep on the 2 minute drive it took to get there but Conner said, "Mommy, it's okay I can make it to my class by myself. I'm big now, I'm five. I can do it." So I unbuckled him and off he ran. I shouted I love you Conner and have a good day. He came back around the corner and said bye bye, bye bye mommy I love you too! I waited awhile trying to see if he'd went in the right door but couldn't tell. I guess he is a big boy now. I'm so proud of him. For the last 4 weeks, me, Mikey and Sam have walked him to the kindergarten side of the building and waited with all the other kindergarteners for their teachers to come and get them and take them inside. That day maybe ending.

Yay Conner! The first time I read this through I read, 'weren't able to park next to the doors which stunk because Leila...' at first I thought you were talking about her blow-out! lol.
