Happy Birthday Conner

Conner turned 5 today and it has been a really good day for him. I am so emotional as I write this post, probably because it's late but I am so full of love for this little boy. It amazes me how much joy they bring to my life and how blessed I am to be able to be home with them every day and hear all the funny things they say and do. I asked him if he had a good birthday and he said, "Oh Mommy, it's been so great." After opening all his presents he exclaimed, "I love all my presents 190%." Totally in Conner style. He has been looking forward to his birthday practically all year and has been counting down the days for months and it finally arrived. He woke up before Neil left for work so we let him open his bike which he was really surprised about. Since we weren't decent and there wasn't time to ride it outside he rode it back and forth between the kitchen and living room. It's definitely going to take some time to learn how to ride this big boy bike.

He got this birthday crown at school and wore it practically all day. I love how kids don't care or even realize how silly they look sometimes. They just do whatever makes them feel special. Conner brought some mini cupcakes to school for his birthday treat and he was so happy they all sang him Happy Birthday.
Here we are at Chuckee Cheese. Mikey is wondering what Presley finds so great about this ride. She sat in there practically the whole 2 hours we were there.
Last time we went to Chuckee Cheese, Sammy didn't like any of the motion rides but this time he love them and that's basically all he would do.
Conner just had to try and skunk Daddy in air hockey. I'm not sure who won. I was off chasing Mikey.

He was so happy to get a piggy bank. Grandma Hibbert gave him some money for his birthday so it's going in the bank until he can decide what to buy with it.
Complete happiness written all over his face.
Miniature bowling, now he doesn't have to use batteries anymore (hopefully I'll be able to find them now when I need them.) I found it at the dollar store. I'm going to have to go back and get a couple more. Those pins are easy to lose.
After school I picked Conner up and we went to meet Neil downtown at work to have lunch with him at the cafeteria. It was a fun surprise that Grandma and Grandpa Hibbert showed up too. After that we went to meet Allison and Jaxson in Murray. My boys were so happy to see their cousin. It's been a couple weeks. Allison found an apartment so the next 3 days we'll be busy helping her pack and move in. After that we went to Chuckee Cheese for pizza and games. We were there for 2 hours. We didn't get home until 9 and since Sammy was already asleep he missed Conner opening his presents. He'll be sad tomorrow. Too bad there wasn't time for Conner to play with his new toys longer but there is always tomorrow. Oh he also got new dry erase markers to write on the windows and they click shut instead of a lid so I'm hoping these will last longer. What kid gets excited about that. Well Conner does. We didn't have cake and ice cream. We're saving that for his Wipe Out party on Saturday with his friends. I don't know who's more excited about the party, Neil or Conner. It should be fun if we can just keep all the kids under control. It's going to be a wild one.

FUN! Happy Birthday Connor!

I love the tiny bowling stuff, I may have to go hunt down some of those!

It feels weird having a Kindergartener, but he is such a big boy and had a really great first day! The only thing that went a little wrong was that his teacher told him that he doesn't ride the bus home, and made him sad because he knew that he does. Luckily my neighbor was there and sorted it all out! Her kid was in the wrong bus line!

Oh Amy! I just love you and your cute family! And I love that you would actually write that your bathroom break "took awhile." Oh, you make me laugh and cry at the same time. I have a special present for Conner but he'll have to wait a couple weeks until I can get it up that way. Happy Birthday Conner! I love you 190%!
