A Visit from Connie

Conner loved playing with Anna and wanted to do whatever she was. If she was holding baby Kate he wanted to hold Mikey.
Conner and Anna had the idea to put Mikey in the ball bin and he loved it. I think this could be his new play place.

Connie came up this weekend because she had a conference to attend and of course it didn't go as planned. She was only able to catch the very end of it. I got to watch Anna, Jared and Kate. I so wish I had a little girl to help around the house. Anna was so thrilled to be the oldest and such a big help. I got dinner ready and they all wanted to help (4 kids) so I let them help make the pizza crust and chocolate chip cookies. I couldn't let myself think of their grimy little hands all over the food I was eating. Sorry I'm a little bit of a germ-a-phobe. They had so much fun and then they all played with play doh for about an hour. It was good to see Conner interact with the kids and Sam and Jared usually played well together. They are the same age and they could really get into some trouble if they lived closer. What one doesn't think of the other one would. We stayed up talking way to late and I was paying the price today with lack of patience. It was fun to have her spend the night. She amazes me with all she is able to do and still raise her five kids. You want to talk about a superwoman.

I need to come visit you! My dad's new job starts March 1 in Salt Lake, so I will be getting up north more. But I need to come see you before then. Maybe I could spend the night and bring Sabrina?

That was really fun. I wish we could talk forever and keep the time from passing. It's so good to catch up in person from time to time and have a good friend to have an adult conversation with.

I hadn't read your blog in a few days...thank goodness for night school! I love keeping up with your sweet boys...How cute was Halloween? Gavin was Emperor Pallpatine from Stars Wars (yeah, I had to look him up) and Mitch was a black ninja. So funny, DJ tied a t-shirt around his head like a ninja...hysterical!!! Can't wait to see more pics of the house :)
