Sam Spotlight

The last couple months it seems like Sam has really grown up. He is 2 1/2 years old. He is just such a cute kid. I'm not sure what it is but he has me wrapped around his little finger (although we do go around and around every now and then) and he gets away with murder sometime. He just talks so much. It's interesting the difference in kids. Conner didn't hardly say anything until he was 3 1/2 and I was worried but Sam is carrying on conversations and is pretty funny. He is an easy to like kid. He makes friends easily and just loves to play and treats. This boy lives for treats. He is getting ready to start potty training. He is now taking his diaper off himself when he wets it but he won't go in the potty. He sits on the potty every morning and several times during the day but at least he's sitting on it. Today he disappeared upstairs and was gone too long so I checked on him and he had his dirty diaper off in one room and wiping himself in the other. He got it on the carpet (happens a lot lately) and had to get a bath. The other day he was in timeout and he had stopped crying so I went to get him and he had taken his diaper off and was putting his Thomas underwear on. We were going to the store so I wanted him to wear a diaper but he insisted so I ended up putting a diaper over the underwear and he was happy. He even kept it dry. Sam is very independent. He likes to pick out his clothes and put them on himself. He also likes to give himself a bath. I just make sure I'm the one who cleans his hair, feet and bottom. He is the best helper. He loves to clean and help out. He is a giggle box and has the cutest giggle. He adores Mikey and is always giving him hugs and kisses as well as mom and dad and sometimes Conner. He loves Peep (Thomas the Train), dinosaurs, Cars, and food. 100 times a day he comes up to me and says, "Me hungry!" while rubbing his tummy. He is such a sneak and will often take food without asking. Actually he never asks. The other days he ate 6 slices of bread throughout the day. He'll often get the peanut butter down and make his own sandwich. I need that pantry so I can lock up the food. He's only 2 and he's already eating me out of house and nome. He gets scared easily and didn't like some of the houses while trick or treating because they were "scary". He is a screamer and wakes the whole house up. I still haven't figured out how to get him to tone it down. We often describe him as Sweet and Sour Sam because that's how he is either really sweet or really sour. He is our little kangaroo and loves to hope. Now as he goes down the stairs he always jumps the last three in one big jump. He climbs in bed with me almost every morning around 6:15 and falls back asleep. Love it. Conner is starting to get in bed with me too. Ever since he was born I've said what would I do without my Sam. He adds so much happiness and excitement to our life. Sam's been so cute lately I just wanted to jot some of the things down.

so cute! Patrick is a screamer too, is that maybe a 2nd kid thing? I hope my second child will like my 3rd one too! because #1 didn't like #2 for a long time.

He is cute. If you figure out how to get his to tone it down be sure to let me know. Jared is always on super loud mode. He seems to love the sound of his own voice. I am coming to your house for the weekend. :)
