I must say I'm happy that Halloween has come and gone. I put so much into making the holidays fun for the kids that I completely wear myself out. Neil is out trick or treating with the kids and I am so happy to sit down and relax for a little bit with no noise. Just me and the computer and every couple or minutes a ring at the doorbell. The house is a disaster. I'll get to that tomorrow, maybe. I think I may take one day off. I have no extra kids tomorrow so I may really lay low. I love Halloween though. It's been a great month, just busy. Tonight we had our trunk or treat and the Primary was in charge so I was busy making soups. Luckily I came home with two empty crock pots. We had a great turn out. I love making the kids costumes. This year we went with the star wars theme. You'd think their costumes would be easy but there are no real patterns for the accessories and I don't do well without a pattern so it took an extra long time and a lot of trial and error. I always regret not being able to take the patterning and costume class while at BYU but I had to graduate or I would have been kicked out, something about having too many credits. Good thing I had extra fabric. Our bedroom became my sewing room so you can hardly walk in there. I have a bad habit about not cleaning up until I'm completely done with a project. It drives Neil crazy but after 9 years of marriage he's realized that's the way I am and it's not going to change so he either cleans up himself or just doesn't say anything. He's just not allowed to touch my sewing stuff so the room has been a mess for 3 weeks. I was debating on whether to have Lucy be Princess Leia or Queen Amidala and ended up going with Amidala because the boys were all characters from Episode 1 so she matched them. We went to Target to get our pictures taken to put on our Halloween collage wall and they turned out pretty cute. I had to go get Sam tonight so he could go to the bathroom and on our way back out he just gushed about how much he loved Halloween and how it's his favorite holiday. That's my boy! They're now sitting down going through all their candy and giving Neil all their Almond Joy bars. Let the sugar high begin. We still have to do baths. I think Mikey's skin and hair is permanently tinted a little red with all the paint he's had on this last week. It's always a little let down when a holiday is over. I think we're going to take it easy for the month of November and then rev things up for December and Christmas. I've got to start planning. Here's some pictures from our last couple days/nights in October.

How fun! The kids looked great! No wonder you are tired- you've had 31 stinkin days of partying. I love Hallowen too but am glad when its over. Only I don't get to relax because Anna's baptism is Saturday so I've gotta start cleaning up the disaster today. I laughed that your kids sorted out the Almond Joys for Neil because me kids did the same thing for Ben.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the evil Mike picture. That may just have to go on my desk of happiness in my classroom to make me smile....hold on Mikey, Aunt Kelly is gonna try to save you soon!!!!!
