Day 24: Pumpkin Carving

This tradition is one I dread all year long. I hate carving pumpkins. I think because you have to try and be creative and I don't feel like I am when it comes to pumpkins. I'm not able to pull many ideas out of thin air. I need to see it. BHG totally saved me this year. I got an email with 50 pumpkin stencils in it so I and the kids each picked one and it made carving them so much more fun and even enjoyable. I can't say the pumpkins looked amazing but it was a lot easier. Conner insisted on doing his whole pumpkin by himself and he did. He refused to let us help. That's a lot of work for his puny little arms.

Lucy loved her pumpkin so much and was so proud of it. She won't put that thing down and whenever she goes outside she'll bring it inside with her.

Lucy had to go to bed before we got the last shot. There's some proud boys. I got some battery operated tea lights at the dollar store so each night we turn them on with our house lights.
