Day 27: Pumpkin Walk

Syracuse puts on a pumpkin walk where they have over 1000 carved pumpkins. We've never been and since it sounded like another fun family activity we got dressed up and went over. It was like festival of trees but with pumpkins. It was so cool. Neil definitely got some ideas for next year. It was pretty cold however. I didn't realize just how cold it was going to be so we weren't very prepared but we survived. There were little fires every where so we sat down at one and got to watch the classic movie Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin. I'm so glad my kids got to see it. Conner was busting a gut, especially when the kids go trick or treating and all the one boy gets is rocks. I think they're going to get rocks in their Halloween Countdown tomorrow just as a joke. I thought it was so cool and we got home and all had hot chocolate and I am just so full of love for my family. They are wonderful. I love doing things together and seeing them laugh and get excited about simple things. They are the best!
We have yet to get around to painting Sam's and Mikey's faces. Tomorrow I am determined to do it and then you'll know who they are supposed to be. Someone from Star Wars. I still have not started Lucy's costume. Thank goodness for the lady bug outfit. It's come in handy more than once.

The boys were thrilled to see all these guys in Star Wars costumes too. Darth Vader still gives me the creeps. When I was a little girl, I swear I was looking out the window of our house on the hill and I saw Darth Vader walking down the street. I knew he was coming to get me and ever since then I get a little anxious when I see him. Nothing like a child's imagination.

Big and little Obi Wan. I'd like to make Conner some boots but it probably won't happen. He doesn't want a cloak but after tonight he might be glad if I make him one for an extra layer of warmth.

The clone tropper was hilarious.
