My sweet little Conner Bonner is getting older and I hate it. He is just such a sweet, obedient and polite little boy. I look at all the kids I know and how parents struggle and I am so thankful to have been blessed with this little guy. He just melts my heart. I don't know if he's finally just matured but he just has the best attitude and is such a helper. There was a time when he was very negative and "lazy" but that's no more. I miss him when he's at school and can't wait for him to get home. He's starting to not need me anymore which makes me sad. He wants to walk to and from school by himself. He still mostly plays by himself. He loves school. His teacher is already in love with him even after just 3 days when I met her for the first time. She already notices how bright he is. On the first day of school he made a poster and on it he wrote three goals which were 1. make friends, 2. learn something new everyday and I forget the third. Under things I want to learn he wrote 1. Learn how to do mulitplication and division with 4 digit numbers, 2. Learn how to do math with really big negative numbers and 3. Learn how to do math problems with input and output. I don't know what he met by that last one but I'm sure he can explain it to me. I know I say it all the time but I am amazed at how much he understands. I love math and the logic behind it but Conner was explaining a problem to me before and I just knew the process but he understood the theory and I understood it for real from his explanation. Crazy. He loves to teach his brothers and made up Thomas Math for Mikey and draws trains and tracks to help Mikey understand and be interested. He gets so excited when Mikey gets a problem right. He's always helping and explaining things to his brothers. He is really into space and weather right now but the weather scares him a little. Whenever he hears about flooding or hurricanes or tsunamis, etc. he gets nervous for us and the people it's affecting and will often ask us to pray for the people in our family and personal prayers. Conner is the first one to say thank you for making dinner or after doing something fun. Right now he is just the funnest kid to have around and I wish I could freeze time. I love him so much and am so thankful to be his mom. I couldn't ask for a better first born!

Conner Turns Seven!
Conner woke up at 6:40 which is early because they went to bed a little later last night due to soccer practice. He was so excited. We had decorated his room with the traditional door streamers but Neil also blew up 50 balloons and covered his floor with them. The boys all loved playing with them. Conner's plan was to open one gift then get ready for school and open another one and then open the rest after school. After much pressure from his brothers he ended up opening all his gifts. He loved everything. He'd often exclaim, that is so awesome or amazing or wonderful!
The first thing he opened was this 6 deck card shuffler. We got it for killer bunnies. We have so many cards it still only shuffles about 2/3 of the cards at the time but it's pretty cool.
He also got the the white booster deck. He spent a good half hour reading all the cards in the white deck and instructions. We're all so excited to play tonight.
I don't know who was more excited Conner or his brothers.
He also got the Heroica game. He only had about 10 minutes to look it over before we had to leave for school. I was going to take him to Chuck E Cheese after school but I really think he's going to want to put this game together so we'll see. Conner also got a moon light and space clock from Nana and Poppa. He requested cinnamon rolls for breakfast so after a sugar overdose he was off to school with cupcakes for his class. I hate the Utah rule of everything being store bought but it is what it is. I can't wait for him to get home. We're going camping with the ward tonight so that's also going to be fun. We're going to have a Minute to Win It party for him on Tuesday with a couple of friends. I've just got to get all the games together.
