Conner checked out a Star Wars cookbook from the school library and the boys have been begging me to make something out of it so Sammy decided we would have Skywalker Smoothies for breakfast today. The cookbook is nothing special. The recipes are just everyday recipes with Star Wars names like C3PO pancakes, Jabba Jigglers and Yoda Soda. Well Sam's birthday is coming up so this cookbook is giving me some good ideas for food choices. Today Sam was in charge of making the smoothies and all the kids were gathered around so excited. It was just a normal strawberry banana smoothie but to the kids it was the most galactic, out of this world drink ever. I decided to make
these breakfast cookies and call them Wookie cookies. I wasn't so sure about these cookies because there was no egg, sugar or leavening agent but I really liked them. Basically it's a soft, warm, granola cookie. I used wheat flour for the almond meal and I just went to Winco's bulk bins and got a little dried cherries, craisins and golden raisins and deluxe mixed nuts. The kids didn't like the nuts so I would probably leave them out next time but I loved them. They are very filling and I had a hard time finishing my second one.

I think tomorrow we'll be having Twin Sun Toast (eggs in a basket) and Hoth Chocolate. Anything to please my little Star Wars fans!
Neil had to go to the dentist this morning to get a cavity filled. Six months ago he was told he had a cavity but because he has trust issues with dentists he thought the guy was just trying to make a buck and did nothing about it. He figured he'd do something if he ever started to feel some pain. I told him when you start feeling pain you will have to go in for a root canal. The dentist told him the same thing I did and so he got it filled but his mouth was all numb when he left for work and when he went to give me a kiss he couldn't feel it and he said it was the weirdest sensation so he kept giving more kisses and laughing. Always trying to sneak another one my silly boy.
