The other night I was giving Lucy a bath, one of her favorite past times. She was getting a little crazy standing up in the water and then plopping herself down. She kept doing it faster and faster until she ended up slipping and knocked her teeth on the side of the tub and chipped her two front teeth. I was devastated. It happened so fast. No of course it couldn't have happened to on of the three rambunctious boys who are supposed to look all beat up and odd; it had to be my precious princess. Her teeth broke in a perfect semicircle and came to a point at the outside edges so that she looked like a little vampire. I took her to a dentist and he filed them down so they aren't so pointy and sharp and told me they are cracked and will probably chip some more but that it didn't hurt the nerve so that is good. They may turn dark. Only time will tell. Now that the initial shock is over they don't look so bad. Most people probably wouldn't even notice. They'd probably think she just has some odd looking front teeth. Oh it just kills me to know for the next 5 years she'll be looking a little odd but at least she's okay and no permanent damage was done. Allison's always telling me she's going to be the craziest one of the bunch! She's earning that title thus far.
