Lucy turned one on Saturday. It was pretty low key. It's funny how with Conner we had a party and went all out but we are now older and wiser and realize she doesn't have a clue what's going on so let's save ourselves some time and hassle. There was no where we could think of to take Lucy so we stayed home. Since it was her special day we didn't leave her in her crib to play for most of the day, which usually happens so I can get kids ready for school or dinner ready. Once she was awake we got her out. How about that for a bonus. I made some cupcakes and her's had a princess crown on it. Sammy wanted her to have a Cinderella cake. Sorry too much work.

Lucy's first taste of chocolate frosting. I think she liked it!

Lucy got a new book from Grandma Hibbert. She loves chewing on it.

We got her a stacking cake. How appropriate. She loves for her brothers to build it so she can knock it over.

Nana just had to stick a stinking lollipop to her present and I didn't see it to confiscate it. I didn't want her to eat it and get her outfit messy and sticky but she threw a fit so I figured it's her birthday let her have her way.

Nana got Lucy a baby doll and she immediately started sucking her hand. She must have thought it was a sucker.

I think the highlight of her birthday was an extra extra long bath. She loves the water and just splashes and giggles and jumps up and down. Everytime she gets in the water with the boys and starts going crazy Conner always exclaims how he can't wait to take Lucy to a waterpark.
Happy Birthday Lucy! We sure love you to pieces. What can I tell you about Lucy. She is standing so good and so close to taking her first step. She eats almost anything, except baby food. She won't touch it anymore. Do you blame her? She loves music. If it's playing she just starts bobbing her head and swaying to the beat. She loves to be flipped upside down or spinned really fast. She's starting to be a handful, however, mostly just because she's into everything and starting to have a mind of her own. She's not one to sit still and is always on the go, which makes church very challenging. Welcome to toddlerhood Lucy Love!
Lucy wasn't sure what to think about everyone singing to her or about the cupcake.
It's my party and I'll cry if I want to. This is what happened when I took the sucker away from Lucy and thus the reason she got it back. I didn't want to ruin her day.
