Halloween

I was bound and determined to make costumes this year but of course I didn't start until 5 days before the parties were to begin. We were hoping to go with a family theme of the 3 Musketeers but I never got around to making a costume for Neil and I. I was only able to sew when the kids were in bed so I stayed up every night until 1 or 2 in the morning. This was the beginning of my sleep deprivation and a month and a half later I still have not caught up. I had so much fun making these costumes and the boys loved them. It was the first time we've had swords in our house and there have been battles every day since. I haven't sewn in so long. I forgot how much I enjoy it. I've now got my machine set up in my room with several projects planned for after the holidays.

Since I didn't have time to make Neil and I costumes we reused our Smurf costumes but painted our faces blue. At the Halloween party no one knew who we were.

We had a fun little Halloween party for the kids. Too bad Conner was sick and just watched and Mikey had just woken up from a nap and was too groggy to play any of the games but Sam had a ball.
