I was able to attend the whole week of Girl's Camp thanks to a wonderful husband and Tiffanie and Beka for watching the kids. It was a great week. Our theme for camp was Happily Ever After which was taken from the talk President Uchdorf gave during the Young Women's General Meeting. A lot of camp was based on fairy tales and writing our own stories and overcoming adversity and staying true to our standards and covenants so we will have our own happily ever after. During camp I think I got a glimpse of why I am supposed to be president right now. It's the hardest calling I've ever had and I really struggle with it but with that struggle comes growth. We had everyone do the 5 mile hike and for two months before camp I worked out on the treadmill almost every day but two weeks before camp we went to hike the trail, a ski run on Wolf Mountain, and it wasn't that bad so I stopped exercising. It was so hard to make it up that mountain but I did it and then on top of the mountain we raised our banner of virtue. It was a great experience. We had great food and a lot of good times. Of course it's girl's camp so we also had our own share of drama but not too bad. The best part was getting to know the leaders better. Whenever we get together we always talk about the young women so it was nice to build an even more personal relationship.
