Mikey is Getting So Big

Mikey can be so fun to have around at times and other times we don't know what to do with him. He turned 18 months old and is having major issues with separation anxiety. He cries for the whole 2 hours of nursery and has to be held. Anytime he realizes Neil or I have left he will just cry forever. It makes getting a babysitter hard. Along with the bad is plenty of good. He loves trains and plays with them everyday. He also loves to color with anything and on anything. You can find his artwork around the house, on the walls, couches, carpet, books, paper. You name it he's drawn on it. We've had to lock all the writing utensils up but somehow he still finds them. He's like a dog and can sniff them out anywhere. No matter how many times I tell him only on paper he goes for everything. I think he must have the Linda Bahr artistic gene and hopefully he'll make a lot of money off his artwork and can pay me back for all the damages to my house and furniture. Bedtime is probably our favorite time with Mikey right now. He loves to sit on our lap and read books and then we get to rock him and he just snuggles for as long as we let him. We'll sing him songs. Neil and I will often paper, rock, scissors to see who gets to put him down.
