Grant and Stephanie got married on Tuesday, February 10th in the Salt Lake temple. You want to see two people in love, it's these too. They were too cute and happy. Camilla and Patrice and JT and Jayden flew in on Saturday and from then until Tuesday it was family fun with the Hibberts. Neil was down in SL on Saturday night for Grant's bachelor party. Then he stayed talking to his sibs until midnight I think. It got late and they got silly and told some personal stories that probably would have never been shared otherwise but was all for a good laugh. Sunday we all got together at the Smarts and had good food and played games: Spoons, a hand game and dipity dipity dip for Neil. Monday we were planning on just having a ladies night out, me with all my sister-in-laws, but Neil really wanted to come too so we went to dinner at Cheesecake Factory. I totally stuffed myself and ate all my dinner and you know how large those portions are. Tuesday was the sealing and luncheon. I told Steph, thanks alot because now I won't be the favorite daughter/sister-in-law in jest. Being as I was the only one before I felt I had the right to claim that title. As we waited for them to come out of the temple the boys had a ball playing in the snow and climbing the temple steps and playing in the alcoves. Yeah, not the best day to get married, it was freezing and snowing. Stephanie came to the luncheon frozen and completely red. The luncheon was nice. They had about 70 family and close friends. At the luncheon they cut the cake, the Hibbert sibs performed a song, Grant, Neil and Austin performed a song, Steph danced with her dad and Grant and Neil and Steph's best friend gave toasts. Grant and Steph left in a limo and we all went back to the Smarts and hung out one last time. It was so nice to spend so much time with the Hibberts. Being as several sisters live out of state it is hard to get to know them. I've been part of the family for 6 1/2 years and have always felt like I didn't quite fit in but now I feel like a part. It takes awhile. We get together probably once a month or every other but all we ever do is eat and talk chit chat so it was nice to actually be doing something. That's what I love about weddings and funerals. It's a time for family to be together.
I become the offical videographer at the luncheon, like I've even ever used it before but they just wanted to have a record. This first clip is of Corey blowing his nose a little too loud at the wrong momen. Grant and Steph were having a tender moment. The Hibbert table started cracking up. I'm sure Steph's family thought we were so rude. You had to be there. The funny part is at the 15 second mark.
I have to brag on my honey because I think he is so clever and talented. He decided he had to do something for Grant's wedding so the night before he changed the words to a song to fit Grant and performed it with his sisters at the luncheon. Poor guy never practiced and wrote the words so small he couldn't see it but it was so cute. I'm impressed.
This is the song Grant changed the words to and performed for Steph. He's got talent too. Must be a Hibbert trait. Hopefully my boys will get it.
