Maybe it's a cop out but Neil and I don't do much for Valentine's Day or any holiday for that matter and some people think it's strange and that we have no romance or things like that but I tell them to be honest every day is like Valentine's Day for me. Every day Neil makes me feel loved and special. Most husbands will write a mushy card, chocolates or let their wife sleep in or be extra helpful or give a massage, etc. well I get that every week if not daily so I told Neil there's not much you can do to make this day any different than the rest. What can I say, he's the best thing to happen to me.
For the boys Neil made pink heart pancakes for breakfast and then heart shaped sandwiches for lunch and for dinner I made a heart shaped pizza with of course heart shaped bread sticks and jello. Conner said they are hearts because it's Valentine's Day and you love us. You got it kid!
Our stake had a Valentine's Day Dinner and Dance that was catered by Olive Garden. I guess they do it every year and usually about 100 people come. This year there was probably 300 and they weren't quite prepared and ran out of food but we all got food eventually. What do you think when you say Olive Garden, every one is gonna come. I told Neil we would most likely being going to Olive Garden anyway, why not go for free. Well I am so glad we did. We had the best time. After dinner about 2/3 of the people left. Our ward must be the hip and young ward because quite a few stayed. Neil and I haven't been dancing in years and we had the time of our lives. It just brought back so many memories from high school and freshman year in college when all we did was dance. They played all the classic songs, YMCA, Footloose, Boot Scootin' Boogie. My feet were killing me.
