Officially Addicted

I told Neil my goal for today was to get the house cleaned. It was a very busy weekend and the house was left a disaster and we were too tired to pick anything up last night. I told him the only problem is not getting distracted. I tried so hard to stay focused but Albertson's wouldn't leave me alone. I had gotten everything I wanted but diapers. Everytime I went they were out. I know Monday is not the best time to go to the store. They are usually wiped out of everything but I couldn't resist. I loaded the kids up and promised them mega treats when we got home if they were good at the stores. I first went to Kaysville and they were out. There was a Walgreens next door so we went in to get some of the cleaning supplies on sale. Then I came to the Layton one and they had 6 pallets of diapers. I about died. I squealed with glee. Needless to say, I probably now have a 6 month supply of diapers. A couple in my stake just had quadruplets and we're having a diaper drive for them so I am so happy to be able to donate three times as much as I was going to and I got some to give with my shower gifts. See I'm not just thinking about myself. I got the jumbo packs for $4 a piece. If I would have had some coupons they would have been only $3 but I can't think about that. Riteaid had some good rebate deals so we stopped by there and then another Walgreens before coming home. The boys got a late nap so I hope they'll forgive me and be happy tonight for Neil. I better start cleaning fast before Neil gets home or he will definitely give me a hard time. Christina yesterday at church mentioned how couponing was her hobby. I think it has just become mine.

My dilema is should I renew my Costco membership or not in March. I used to live at Costco and thought they had really good deals. I thought the diapers were the cheapest and the cheese and I loved their milk and frozen vegetables but now I feel like a membership is a waste of money. I can save money in gas but it seems like everything else I can get for cheaper somewhere else if I really watch the sales. For instance today on the diapers, I saved $20 over the same amount I would have gotten from Costco with their coupon. I love looking at all the non food items they have although I rarely buy. The other thing is Costco is in Ogden or Bountiful and I just don't go to these places except to go to the temple so I may only have a chance to go every two weeks. So it may just be bye bye Costco.

"definitely give you a hard time"...? Make it sound like a task-master husband. I would say "definitely tease me due to my lack of sticking to my goal."

Welcome to my world. "Couponing" is my hobby but sometimes it takes way to much time, but I love the thrill of a deal.

I wanted to see you on Sunday, but Kara had the flu.

Costco is a hard one. I pretty much just buy my romaine lettuce, cheese (when it's not on sale at Albies) and water softner salt there, and gas, but the Orem one is pretty close. I rarely buy anyhthing else. I don't know if my membership is worth it though.
