35!

Neil turned 35 in September.  All he wanted for his birthday was a German chocolate cake and shish kebobs.  I didn't realize the meat needed to marinate overnight to get the full flavor so I pretty much ruined his birthday dinner so instead of wasting the meat we decided to go out to dinner to Ligori's, a pizza and pasta place we've always passed on Hillfield and have been curious about but never went in.  Well it was okay but not great.  At least we know never to go back.  The cake I made definitely made up for flopped dinner.  It was a triple layer cake.  It was very intense and time consuming but was worth every minute and calorie.  The kids weren't so keen on the coconut and pecans so Neil and I were able to nibble on that baby for a week.

I just can't get enough of this guy.  How did I ever get so lucky!
