Lucy's so Fun

I love having this little girl. She is speaking more everyday although I'm probably the only one who understands her. She calls Neil, Na. I don't know where that came from but the other day Neil was leaving for work and she ran to the door and said Bye Dad in her sweet little voice. Both Neil and I stopped in our tracks. Did she really just say dad? She did. We both heard it. She's only said it a couple times since and prefers to call him Na but at least we know she can. From since I could put two pigtails in her hair she has always had two bows in her hair. Lucy knows that she doesn't go anywhere without her bows in and has become pretty persistent about wearing bows. For her birthday, she got a little Minnie Mouse doll that also wears a bow and Lucy will throw a fit if she sees Minnie without a bow. One day she was supposed to be taking a nap but she screamed for 30 minutes, which is unlike her, so I went to check on her and there she was standing in her crib reaching for Minnie who was on the floor screaming bow. Of course, Minnie was without a bow and the whole world was ending because Minnie was not wearing a bow.
Speaking of dress ups, my friend Meagan called me and asked if I could make her a snow white dress for her twins. I had make one for her 4 or 5 years ago but now that her twins are old enough they fight over it everyday and so in order to stop the fighting she hid the dress and finally had peace but than her older girls found it and the daily bickering began again. The only solution was to get a second dress. Snow White is my favorite dress to make. It is the most time consuming one because the sleeves take me about 2-3 hours a piece but those sleeves makes me so happy. It drives me crazy at Disneyland that Snow White's dress is not true to the movie and just has ribbons going down the sleeves instead of the tear drops. Come on Disney. You've definitely got the money and talent to make an authentic sleeve. You could hire me. Anyway since I was making one I decided to go ahead and make Lucy one. They only cost $8 each to make and the best part is that I can wash it, which I've already had to do. Lucy wants to wear it everyday. I think I have started the curse here at my house too. It has become quite the bargaining tool though. If Lucy refuses to do something all I have to say is Lucy if you don't do ____________ I'll take your dress off. She'll say no but then do it. I love this little girl. I have plans to make her several more dress ups and accessories.
