Fun Day Downtown

Since the kids are off track we decided to spend a day in Salt Lake. Since we're using the gas I figured we might as well make the most of it. The kids have been going to Chuck E Cheese so that was our first stop. I had a gift certificate that was only good at the Sandy location. I hate to say it but the Layton one is so much better with funner games. The kids still ended up with 700 tickets. Chuck E actually made an appearance so that was fun. Mikey sure loved seeing the mouse and followed him around.

Lucy loved the little merry go round and rode it most of the time with a group of little girls.

After Chuck E Cheese we went to the planetarium and watched a movie and looked at the exhibits. Conner really wanted to watch Black Holes which was at 3:30 and the other kids wanted to watch Born to Be Wild which was at 4 so we couldn't see both. I ended up letting Conner going to see his movie by himself and telling him to stay on the third floor when it was over and we'd find him. We both were a little apprehensive to leave each other but we did and it worked out fine. I'm starting to cut those apron strings a little bit and boy is it hard.

After the planetarium we picked up Neil and headed to City Creek to check it out for just a sec and to grab dinner. The kids really enjoyed the little play place.

After City Creek we headed over to Rio Tinto stadium for a Real Salt Lake soccer game. I was very worried about Mikey and especially Lucy as they had not had a nap but they both did good. Lucy proved herself to be quite the cheerleader.
I'm not a big fan of soccer. I think it's rather boring. A lot of running around and not much action or scoring but I put on a happy face for Neil and the kids. I told next time I'd drop them off and go shopping. We were all worn out and everyone fell asleep on the way home but Lucy. She screamed most of the way home. Thankfully it was in the van and not in the stadium.
