Mikey's Special Day

Mikey had to wait an extra month to be baptized and was baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on January 2.  What a great way to start the year, all clean and fresh.  Mikey asked if he'd have a rainbow on his baptism day like Conner and Sam had.  I felt bad knowing there wouldn't be one so we made a rainbow out of streamers in the kitchen.  

Neil gave an awesome talk on the Holy Ghost.  Neil has a talent for being able to connect gospel principles very understandable, even to an 8 year old.  He used CTR to describe the roles of the Holy Ghost:  Comfort Teach Reveal.  

Mikey just had the sweetest little grin on his face the whole time and you could tell he was so happy.

Michael, which is what he likes to be called now, instead of Mikey is the most compassionate child.  He is always aware of others and how they are feeling and trying to help if he can.  He is a very sweet boy.
