Stadium of Fire

Brad Paisley, whom Neil loves because he is such a clever song writer and David Archuleta were coming to Stadium of Fire so we decided to buy tickets the day they were available to the public and also bought tickets for Sam and Conner. We felt like they were old enough and they would absolutely love the fireworks. On Thursday Grant called and said that he could get us tickets on the field for free if we wanted. You've got to be kidding me. We of course said yes. I was able to sell our tickets and recoup some of the money. Grant's company Qualtrics was one of the main sponsers so got a lot of tickets and Grant was in charge of giving them out. Not only did Grant hook us up with tickets but also with dinner beforehand. Jay Dawgs catered it. Everyone was going crazy for these hot dogs with their special sauce. They were some pretty special dawgs. The boys loved being able to eat whatever they wanted. I think Conner ate 4 Klondike bars.

Conner kept missing fireworks standing up so he finally decided to lay down on the grass in the aisle to watch the spectacular fireworks.

Sam was eating it up. When the fireworks began he turned to Neil and said, "Now this is what I call a party! We've got to come every year!"

Here we are at the end of show. We got home 1 am. They loved every minute of it.

Neil and I attended our first Stadium of Fire the day after we got married. We've been to a couple since but I think we may be starting a new family tradition with bringing the boys. I always get so emotional around the 4th of July. I especially love seeing the jets fly over the staduim. I get choked up every time. I am so grateful to live in this country and especially for all the men and women who serve in the armed forces to protect our freedoms and allow me to live my life however I want. God Bless the USA!
