As always, Lucy was so excited for her birthday and so excited to be 5. She will go up to complete strangers and hold up her five fingers and say I am 5, which isn't necessarily like her. It's cute.
Lucy loved all her presents and because she is just so happy with everything I had to add some more. Just look at her face as she opens her presents.
She wanted a Frozen cake like we made for Sienna so that's what we did.
We were just having a family party this year but Lucy was a little sad that none of her friends were coming over and so I texted our sweet friends the Nichols to see if they could come over for cake and ice cream at 8:30. That's when they are going to bed but they still came over and Lucy was so happy. Too bad they didn't leave until almost 10. Kate, I'm so sorry for the late night but y'all made Lucy's day. Thanks.
Our little Lucy is such a fun little girl who loves to dance. That's basically all she does when she is at home. I have a playlist of her favorite songs on my kindle and she grabs it and just dances for hours. The music is always on that sometimes I can't take the noise anymore and have to tell her to turn it off, which can send her to tears. When she is not dancing she is playing with her neighbor friends Jonathan and Eden. She is a very independent and stubborn little girl. People are often surprised to see that side of her but I see it way too often. She loves going to all her preschools. She still struggles with her speech but as she has learned all the sounds of letters and has begun to sound out words she is enunciating better. She has started to sound out and spell three letter words. She loves for me to throw words at her to see if she gets them right. We are so blessed to have this happy shining star in our family. "I Love Lucy!"
