For the Fourth of July we went to the Layton parade this year. This holiday just does not seem complete without going to a parade. We got there in plenty of time to get a good spot.
It was bright, sunny and hot and so this sweet and selfless man stood in front of us with the umbrella to keep the sun off of us for an hour before the parade started.
Conner passed the time by coloring a flag on a napkin with Neil's 4-color pen (never leaves home without it!)
Eliza had had it. She was so ready for a nap.
After the parade we went to see How to Train Your Dragon 2. We went home and took naps and then bbq'd and headed out for some Layton City fireworks.
I put Eliza and myself to bed while Neil and the rest of the kids continued to let off fireworks at home in the street.
