I am a very stereotypical woman in the fact that I am obsessed with chocolate. A sweet doesn't quite hit the spot if some bit of chocolate isn't involved, except for a big fat sugar cookie. Kent's had Mars candy bars on sale for $.25, which is a steal, awhile back so I bought a boat load of Snickers, Twix and Peanut M&M's for my own personal stash. Knowing I would most likely down them in just a couple days I gave Neil possession of them to dole out when he saw fit. He'll leave them occasionally in different spots for me but not as often as I need and when I beg for him to tell me where they are he refuses and teases me. I have torn the house apart looking for them when I've had a craving with no luck. He's probably hidden them at work that little stinker. I also love caffeine free Pepsi but only have a need for one after a really bad day. That's how Neil knows it's been rough if I ask for a Pepsi. Too bad the Maverick doesn't carry caffeine free fountain drinks anymore. A fountain drink is to die for. Neil just knew last week when he was gone the whole time that I would need some and so he bought a 12 pack and snuck them in the fridge with love notes attached. So sweet. Every night he'd ask if I had had a Pepsi and I was happy to say no. It hasn't been that bad and he would sound disappointed. On the 4th night I finally felt like a Pepsi and got one and saw the note. Because I wanted to know what another one said I had to drink a 2nd.
Back to chocolate. I have really been wanting something chocolaty and Neil won't give me a candy bar and so today I made the best ever
Chocolate Bundt Cake. I made it before church and it took all the willpower I could muster to not sneak a piece before dinner. It smelt so good. The frosting tasted like fudge and when I poured it on the cake it ran down the sides and continued onto the counter where 4 little vultures willingly licked it up. The thought did cross my mind to just have chocolate cake for dinner with tall glasses of milk. When I mentioned that idea to Neil he was all for it and said not only would the kids think I was the most awesome mom on the planet but it would most definitely be a dinner they'd always remember. I was so tempted to just serve it but all my motherly instincts of serving my family well balanced meals over ruled and I made dinner. Maybe next time though. The cake was so thick, rich, dense and moist, just how I like cake. I hate store bought cake mixes not only because of their artificial taste but their light and airy texture. I want cake of substance. Neil said the only thing that could make it better was if there were chocolate chips laced throughout. Next time you get a major chocolate hunkering make this cake. You won't regret it. I can't wait for breakfast!

Nothin better than chocolate cake for breakfast! Thats a bad habit I learned from you- cant wait to try it!
Ok, got that recipe in my book, that cake looks delicious! And I need to hide chocolate from myself too. When Conner get older he can hide it for you. Corey doens't hide it well enough or when he does won't dish it out when I need it, but I can trust Joe to keep it safe from me or give it to me when I got a craving. :)
