End of School

I am so behind on updating the blog, like 3 months, and figured I better post about the end of last year before the new school year starts in two weeks.

The last week and a half of school was so fun for the kids.  The school and PTA planned so many activities.  First off was field day which is basically a rotation of 12 water games.  Both Neil and I volunteered to help and we were in charge of the sponge.  It looked pretty lame but I think it was the funnest game there once we decided how to play it.  We had a little pool full of water with big sponges in it.  After a few classes came through we decided to divide the class in half and one half would throw the sponges while the other half were the targets.  Once the first half had thrown all the sponges then they switched roles.  Everybody got soaked.

Almost all the classes ended up turning on Neil and I and getting us soaked as well.
Here's Sammy with two of his best girlfriends in his class Ashlee and Kaiya competing in the tug of war.
Sam got drenched in the balloon bust.
Now that's a picture of one happy boy!

All the kids got to shoot of a rocket.
Do you remember me mentioning the love of Sam's life, McKinnley.  I was so happy to get a picture of the two of them together.  Awwww, Sam's first love.  I didn't even pose them.  I just asked to get a picture of them together and she cuddles him.
The school also put on the Lincoln Olympics at the Layton High School.  There were about 10 track and field events.  Conner got all silvers and golds this year and was pretty proud of his improvements.
Mikey and Lucy came with me to cheer Conner on and Mikey got a little bored and started taking pictures.  I thought this one of his shadow was cute.
Conner's class.
Sam had his kindergarten program.  They must of sang 15 songs.  I was amazed that they had them all memorized.
Of course Sam is sitting by McKinnley.

On the last day of school Mikey, Lucy and I made these banners for the kids to run through to kick off our summer.  It was the first time the kids have used poster paint and they loved it.
Conner was so excited to have two whole months off for summer.  We usually only get 4 weeks.

I am so sad to leave Lincoln Elementary.  I really enjoyed it and I know the kids did.  We were so blessed to have such wonderful teachers for our kids.
