Fall Cleaning

For weeks now Neil and I have laid in bed and looked up at our ceiling fan and commented to each other how disgustinly gross it is with all the dust on it hoping that the other will get the hint and clean it. It hasn't been cleaned since we moved in a year ago along with every other fan in the house as well as many other things and finally last night the cleaning bug hit me. I all of a sudden have energy. Neil was gone playing a board game with some friends the kids were in bed and so I cuddled up under the covers to watch some tv and unwind but after one show I realized there really wasn't anything worth watching and I was wasting my time so I pulled out Narnia but it just didn't grab my interest so I put it down and happened to glance up and there was that nasty ceiling fan. I figured now was as good a time as ever and an hour and half later I had cleaned 3 of our fans not being able to get to the other two since they were in the boys' bedrooms. This morning I got up and cleaned the other two and then thought the blinds could use dusting, those haven't been done in probably nine months so I started in the front room and noticed how awful the windows were so I decided to clean those and looked online how to take a screen out and got it out and got the hose and some soapy water and my squeegee and went to town. I also cleaned the bay window in the kitchen. I had to get on the ladder for that one and I made myself nervous and knew Neil would kill me if he saw but I was on a mission. I just prayed I wouldn't fall and kept Sam outside with me with my cell phone in case anything happened. It is crystal clean, just beautiful. I doubt Neil will even notice it but I'll definitely mention it. I didn't get to the other windows yet, figured I was pushing my luck as it was. So I guess I'm finally getting around to my spring cleaning being as nothing got done then. I hope this burst of energy I'm having lasts more than a few hours, a couple months would be great.

Wanna come clean my windows? Or my basement? I walk in, walk out and ignore the storage space/laundry machines/tornado shelter we call a basement. One day, really. I'll get to it. Maybe.
